Is your student group or department committed to fostering healthy lifestyle choices? Apply beginning March 1st to become Certified Healthy! Health Initiatives strongly believes in transforming the Yellow Jacket community by inspiring a thriving culture of health and well-being, and Certified Healthy honors groups that aid in this mission. If your student organization, school, department, or other campus group goes above and beyond to make these values a priority (in any or all spheres of emotional, social, physical, professional, or spiritual health), you should be Certified Healthy!

There are three Certified Healthy levels awarded: Gold, Silver, and Bronze. Gold groups have created a culture of health, well-being, and caring that is ingrained in their department or organization, and promote health in all five dimensions of well-being. Silver groups influence a healthy community within their department and provide well-being opportunities for their group members in the majority of dimensions. Bronze groups are working toward creating such a community within their department. They may be strong in one dimension, but need to expand their efforts into all five.

Recognition for Certified Healthy groups will be given to employees at the Health Expo and students at the Up With The White and Gold ceremony on April 15. Applications open March 1 and close March 31. For more information and to apply, go to healthinitiatives.gatech.edu/certified-healthy.
