School of Psychology Colloquium Series

Dr. Marissa Shuffler, Assistant Professor, Clemson University

Leadership and teamwork are often key to operating effectively in complex work environments. These environments could mean providing care to patients with multiple acute health conditions, to addressing grand challenges of science and technology, to sending humans into deep space. Given the high stakes of such contexts, well-timed, high impact interventions are critical for enhancing the performance of leaders, teams, and their organizations. This presentation summarizes field-based research efforts in healthcare and similar settings, aimed at addressing exactly this issue: how to effectively yet efficiently manage the dynamic needs of inter- and intra-team functioning and wellbeing.

Reception to follow with light refreshments in JS Coon 2nd floor atrium
