"Fall of a Champion" is an exhibit in memorial to the Skiles Walkway Willow Oak that collapsed on September 18, 2018.

Presented by the Fall 2018 Class of LMC 3308–Environmentalism and Ecocriticism—sponsored by Serve Learn Sustain and the Georgia Tech Honors Program, with contributions from the Georgia Tech Paper Museum.

The exhibit will display a variety of digital and print media honoring the cultural history of trees on Georgia Tech's Campus as well as artifacts crafted from the wood of the fallen tree.

"This is not our world with trees in it. It's a world of trees, where humans have just arrived." —Richard Powers, The Overstory
