Each year, around 600 students spend a semester or more studying at Georgia Tech-Lorraine (GTL), Tech’s European campus located in Metz, France. GTL allows undergraduate and graduate students to take the courses they need to stay on track toward their degree, while experiencing a new culture and growing as global citizens. The value of this opportunity for students is enormous. GTL provides several scholarships each spring and fall to aid students in making GTL a reality. Both undergraduate and graduate students are provided scholarship opportunities.
The Georgia Tech-Lorraine Challenge Scholarship is open to both undergraduate and graduate students. Up to four students are awarded this scholarship each year: two undergraduate students spending the spring or fall semester, and two dual-degree graduate students spending their last semester in Atlanta.
As scholarship recipients, many of the students are inspired to give back to Georgia Tech and GTL in various ways, whether by encouraging other students to go abroad or passing on the knowledge that they gained while abroad.
