During the week of February 11th- 14th, Health Initiatives (HI) will be focusing on healthy relationships.  The purpose of healthy relationships week is to inform the campus student population of the characteristics and tools needed to develop healthy relationships. It offers everyone an opportunity to dive into subjects about sex, “situationships”, consent, getting over heartbreak, and so much more. There will be activities and seminars throughout the week.

Healthy Relationships week is designed with the “hope that students will have greater confidence in practicing healthy relationships” said HI Health Educator, Deontez Wimbley. “Relationships are a part of life. Most people throughout their lifetime engage in some form of intimate partner relationship. Students need to know resources are available to help them thrive in life now and beyond their years at Tech,” said Wimbley. Join in on any or all of the events happening all week long:

Adulting and Relationships:

Thursday, February 14th Piedmont Room: 4:00 pm-5:00 pm

As we navigate adult life and establish intimate partner relationships with new people, we are often confronted with rejection, heartbreak, new emotions, confusing “situationships”, and a host of other adulting relationship dilemmas. This workshop provides students with information on dating safely, dealing with rejection, setting boundaries and effectively communicating.
