Full Summary: In  this workshop, graduate students will learn the fundamentals of public speaking.

In  this workshop, you will learn the fundamentals of public speaking including how to capture and maintain audience attention and deliver speeches that create a positive and lasting impression. Your facilitator will focus on content and delivery strategies that are specific to the oral portion of any presentation situation, and will also discuss techniques like projection, inflection, vocal emphasis, and non-verbal signals. There will be a question and answer segment following the presentation. As a result of attending this workshop you will understand how to plan and execute the oral and non-verbal elements of a presentation.

This workshop is directed towards graduate students. Postdocs are welcome as walk-ins as space allows.
