There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

As air cargo becomes an increasingly important source of revenue for the struggling airline industry, we are interested how collaborative logistics can be used to benefit the industry.
We explore the characteristics of a successful cargo alliance, namely efficiency, rationality, and system optimal behavior.
Inverse optimization is a promising tool to help us distribute profits in a manner consistent with our alliance objectives. In addition, we discuss interesting (and detrimental) behavior that can arise in air cargo networks, and propose preventative solutions.
Students and faculty are invited to remain after the seminar for a coffee and snacks reception sponsored by The Logistics Institute.
