There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. The Georgia Gubernatorial Inauguration will be held on Monday, January 14, 2019 in McCamish Pavilion. More than 6,000 visitors are estimated to attend this event.
Sunday, January 13
Please remove your vehicles from E65 (McCamish side only) by 6:00 a.m. You are welcome to park in E65 (Zelnak side) or in any nonresidential parking location using your permit.
Monday, January 14
Please remove your vehicles from the following locations by 6:00 a.m.:
This includes all service and government vehicles.
Please note: unfortunately, vehicles remaining in these areas after the deadline will be relocated at the owner’s expense.
You are welcome to park in ER66 (Family Housing/10th and Home). Access for this area will be added to your BuzzCards or carpool permits.
Affected areas that do not have to be cleared but will be impacted by visitor parking include E52 (Peters deck), W23 (North Campus deck), ER66 (Family Housing/10th and Home deck), E81 (Tech Square deck) and E82 (Centergy deck).
SmartPark Customers: During this event, there will be uncommon congestion in E81 and W23/Area 5. Areas 1 and 3 are the recommended SmartPark locations during this event.
Traffic and Transit
Due to the high number of visitors, traffic congestion and transit delays are expected.
Normal conditions should resume Tuesday, January 15.
