There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

Most individuals want to help save lives, but avoid talking about suicide because they are unsure of how to identity someone at risk or they are concerned about saying the wrong things or making a situation worse. Saving lives begins with learning what to do. QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer—the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help prevent suicide. At Georgia Tech, we offer many QPR gatekeeper training sessions, and this year we are proud to offer a QPR instructor training to offer campus community members an opportunity to become a certified QPR instructor.
In this training session, participants will learn how to lead QPR intervention training and then be able to put your training into practice by facilitating two QPR gatekeeper trainings per semester. If you are interested in attending the all-day training on January 15, please contact Julia Rizzo by email, endsuicide@gatech.edu, or phone, 404-385-3850. Limited spots available.
