There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

Quantum Sciences and Technologies at Georgia Tech

A workshop for Georgia Tech faculty to discuss the opportunities in Quantum Materials, Quantum Information, and Quantum Computing research.

While quantum mechanics is a foundational concept to explain the microscopic world, it is only recently that quantum effects have become important to macroscopic phenomena and devices directly. Recent advancements in quantum sciences and technologies, including fundamental breakthroughs, material discovery, device fabrication, hardware circuits and the corresponding computing models have resulted in widespread interest in the potential of quantum information processing.

This workshop is an attempt to bring faculty* members from the Colleges of Sciences, Computing and Engineering and researchers from GTRI together, to discuss our core capabilities, gaps, and potential collaboration opportunities.

*Each participating faculty will be given the opportunity to present one slide on their efforts most relevant to quantum sciences and technologies.
