There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. We are pleased to announce that the Fourth Annual ISyE Ph.D. Picnic will be held on Friday, October 6 from 4-7 P.M. on the IC Lawn, weather permitting. For those of you who have been around the past couple of years, this is the continuation of the picnic tradition started by Brad Jones and company.
This event is FREE FOR ISyE Ph.D. STUDENTS, FACULTY, AND STAFF. We encourage people to bring their families and close friends, as one of our goals is to have a "family-oriented" event. However, to cover expenses, there is a nominal $3 fee for all adult guests. There is no cost for children.
Food will be provided from a local Atlanta area establishment. Please inform us if you have any dietary restrictions, so that we may plan accordingly. Water and pop will be provided as well. ALCOHOL IS PROHIBITED.
We are also planning to have several activities, including soccer, frisbee, and a volleyball. If enough interested faculty attend, a faculty vs student volleyball match will be arranged!
