Summaries

Summary Sentence: Join us for this teaching with technoloy workshop!

Full Summary: No summary paragraph submitted.

Now that Canvas has become fully integrated as Georgia Tech’s new learning platform, how can you use it to engage students more actively in your course? Join your colleagues to explore the variety of tools that Canvas offers to help you teach effectively. And, if you teach large classes, find out how you can scale activities to use the techniques with ease.

In this workshop we'll take a look at the research behind the use of digital tools for active learning, and explore the ways you can use Canvas to help your students master your course content. Though this is not a technical training on how to use Canvas, we encourage you to bring along a laptop so that you can participate in hands-on activities designed to explore the Canvas tools. You'll get a chance to practice using Canvas to create your own Active Learning activities--and be ready to use Canvas to engage your students this term!
