Since 1994, organizations across the nation have participated in the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. Each year on the first Monday in January, we have a “day on, not a day off,” and partner with programs and community organizations in Atlanta to move closer to King’s vision of a “beloved community.” Limited spaces for Georgia Tech students, faculty, and staff are available for participation in the 2019 MLK Day of Service, which we be held on Monday, January 21, 2019 from 7:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Students can register for the following sites: West Atlanta Watershed Alliance and Trees Atlanta. Stamp’s President’s Scholars will also be volunteering at Clyde Shepherd Nature Preserve.
Check-in and breakfast will be served at the Student Center Ballroom beginning at 7:30 a.m. and buses will leave for their respective sites at 8 a.m. Contact Brittny James at bjames44@gatech.edu with any questions or concerns about this year’s service program.
