The weeks surrounding final exams can be a tough time for students at Tech. Student groups and others across campus are here to help.
Check out one of these stress-free events to relax and de-stress in the midst of finals. Remember, the Counseling Center has extended its walk-in hours through Thursday of this week, with counselors available until 7 p.m. each day.
When: Dec. 4, 2 – 4 p.m.
Where: Communication Center, Suite 447, Clough Commons
The Counseling Center will host a session of its walk-in consultation series. “Let’s Talk” differs from formal counseling in that there is no clinical paperwork to fill out, no formal intake, and no scheduled appointments. Students are encouraged to drop by and talk about whatever is important to them, much as they might talk with a teaching assistant, residence hall director, or academic advisor.
When: Dec. 4, 7 – 9 p.m.
Where: Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons
Emerging Leaders hosts Brighten GT, an event with free coffee, donuts, and positivity. Head to the first floor of Clough Commons to take a study break and fill up with positive energy. All students are welcome.

Where: College of Computing
The last Pet Therapy event of the semester will be held on Dec. 5 in the College of Computing. These events have been organized by Georgia Tech Health Initiatives and include guided pet interactions to help individuals recover and cope with health concerns and daily stressors stemming from work, school, or relationships. More information can be found here.

Where: Student Center Peachtree Room
On the first reading day before finals, SCPC is hosting a free, de-stress event for all students to attend. Take a study break and head out to the Student Center Peachtree Room for free food, tea making, DIY stress balls, and more.

Take a study break and support a good cause by getting food from Panda Express. Proceeds from the purchase will go to Georgia Tech for the Kids – a campus organization that raises money and awareness for the Children’s Miracle Network and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
When: Dec. 7, 8 p.m. – Midnight
Where: Student Center (3rd Floor)
