Full Summary: Text-mining involves analyzing a corpus of documents to uncover relationships between words, phrases and concepts that may be difficult to identify otherwise.

Text-mining involves analyzing a corpus of documents to uncover relationships between words, phrases and concepts that may be difficult to identify otherwise. In this workshop, attendees will learn how to apply various R packages including tidytextgutenbergr, and wordcloud, among others, to input, transform, analyze, and visualize relationships between a large collection of documents. Attendees will leave this workshop understanding existing R code for text-mining in order to adapt it to their own research and learning needs. This is intended as an intermediate-level workshop so attendees will benefit from having prior experience with R. There is no cost and technology will be provided by the library. Seating is limited so advance registration is recommended.
