Summaries

Summary Sentence: Are you interested in shaping the future of the CoC?

Full Summary: No summary paragraph submitted.

We would like to invite you all to the first general meeting of the Student Council at the CoC, an organization aiming to improve the college by providing a platform for students to share their ideas with each other and the administration. Student Council is the continuation of the already established Undergraduate Council, with the goal of being more inclusive to all students.

This event will be held on Thursday, November 15th at 8PM in Klaus 1116.

We are planning to hold monthly town hall meetings starting in the Spring that anyone in the CoC can attend, and are currently in the process of drafting the constitution and bylaws. These documents are being maintained in publicly viewable GitHub repositories and we would love your input!

Feel free to read them over, post issues, or even make personal recommendations. Our very first meeting will involve a discussion of the constitution and bylaws. Even if you don’t have time to read them in advance, we would love to see you there!

Also, the organization will have a large number of officer positions available in the Spring, so if you are interested in a leadership role this is an excellent opportunity! There is a position available for everybody, so if you are reading this email you are most likely eligible to be an officer. If you don’t see a position that you’d be eligible for let us know!
