Alice Hong, HSTS Master's Student, was just awarded the 2018-2019 Annual Break the Cycle 14 program focusing on social, economic, and environmental influences on children's health, growth and development. She will be mentored by Professor Jennifer Singh on the project titled: Autism Disparities: Structural and Institutional Barriers.

Alice will work with the Break the Cycle faculty and with other students from around the country and internationally to see the project through and present her research results and findings at an annual conference scheduled for the spring of 2019. She will also be required to write a scientific paper on her project which will be published in an international review journal as well s a book chapter.
