There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Two Ph.D. students from the College of Sciences will be competing in the final round of the Georgia Tech Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition.
Ferguson's research is in the fields of numerical reelativity and strong field gravity. Her advisor is School of Physics Professor Deirdre Shoemaker.
Hokett's research is in the fields of cognition and brain science. Her advisor is School of Psychology Associate Professor Audrey Duarte.
Since 2015, Georgia Tech's 3MT competition has helped graduate students hone their communication skills by challenging them to share their research in three minutes in a way anyone could understand.
The entire campus community is invited to come out and support the graduate students competiting in the final round of the 2018 competition.
