Have you ever walked into your plant’s warehouse and thought to yourself, “this could be organized better” or “if these items were moved over here, it would save us a lot of time?” Join the GaMEP and renowned logistics expert, Lee Hales, for a two-hour lunch-n-learn as we teach you tips and tricks to make changes to your existing warehouse space for maximum efficiency. Learn how to tap the knowledge and creativity of your team and make better up-front decisions, saving you time and money in the long-run. Topics include systematic methods for measuring and improving material flow, estimating floor space and capacity to support growth, and considering the right factors in choosing the best plan for your plant. Case studies from manufacturing plants and distribution centers from across Georgia will be referenced. This session is a preview of topics covered in SCL's warehouse layout course.
