Georgia Tech will also waive application fees for students economically impacted by the storm, said Rick Clark, director of undergraduate admission.
“As a public institution, we care about our state and want all Georgia students to have every opportunity to apply for admission,” Clark said. “We are committed to enrolling the top students from across our state and making that education affordable through unique initiatives such as the Tech Promise Program.”
About 19,700 students applied through Early Action, representing 112 Georgia counties and every state. These students will receive admission decisions January 12.
The deadline for regular admission remains January 1. The application and review process are the same as that for Early Action.
All Georgia residents are eligible for the Georgia Tech Scholars Program, which recruits and enrolls academically talented students from all areas of the state. The program offers automatic acceptance to valedictorians and salutatorians from Georgia public and private high schools.
