The Office of International Education (OIE) is excited to announce that a record number of students will be studying abroad on exchange for the coming semester. In Spring 2019, 178 Georgia Tech students will be attending 40 partner institutions in 23 countries. This number has tripled in just three years.
Currently the top 5 exchange institutions are UC3M in Madrid, Spain; HKUST in Hong Kong; UNSW in Sydney, Australia; NUS in Singapore, and Eindhoven in the Netherlands. Of the 178 students studying abroad on exchange, this group represents 27 of the 35 undergraduate majors at Tech. Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Business Administration, and Biomedical Engineering are the top majors for this group of students. In a small break from Tech tradition, this group is 42% male and 58% female.
