ILF Civic FellowshipThe ILF Civic Fellowship is one of the nation’s most prestigious civic leadership development programs, designed specifically to foster the next generation of Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander leaders in various fields, in public service in particular. Supported by current leaders, the Fellowship aims to teach outstanding college students from across the nation through its own unique training. It has two themes: strengthen your policy interests and cultivate your leadership potential and skills, and one goal: be a public interest driven leader for communities.
Fellows learn how politics, the policy-making process, and public service are integrated in governance and how to make government works for the community.
ILF Civic Fellowship provides a 8- to 10-week public service internship at federal agencies, scholarships, a federal job fair, and a variety of seminars and workshops on civic engagement and career, personal, and leadership development.
The program takes place in Washington, D.C. at various federal agencies, congressional offices, or the White House.
Fellows are responsible for their own travel, housing and living expenses. Fellows will receive a $2,000 scholarship upon completion of the Fellowship program.
