Leon Krier, one of the world's premier architects and urbanists who designed the English model town of Poundbury for the Prince of Wales, and his brother Rob Krier who recently completed the Palace of Justice in their native Luxembourg will lecture on October 26 at 7pm in the Millennium Gate. An exhibition of their work will be on display.
Leon Krier received the inaugural Richard Driehaus Prize for Classical Architecture in 2003. He is considered by many the intellectual godfather of the New Urbanism movement in America, and they have campaigned to rescue the landscape, town-scape and civic life of our nation from the failed experiment of a drive-in utopia.
A reception will follow, tickets are limited.
