Join the Web of Brilliance (WoB) as we discuss Susan Cain's bestselling work "Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World that Can't Stop Talking." This is the Fall Book Club of our Georgia Tech Employee Resource Group dedicated to introverts, but we welcome all personality types to join in conversation with us!
Cain takes an empathetic and empowering approach in describing the creative challenge of navigating a culture that prizes the "extrovert ideal." The book masterfully integrates history, neuroscience, sociology, and other disciplines to craft a compelling call-to-action that will appeal to introverts and extroverts alike. Our stock of complimentary book copies for WoB members has already been claimed, but this title should be widely available at booksellers and your local library system. Even if you haven't finished the book, we encourage you to come and lend your voice to the discussion.
