Skydiving, visiting every continent, meeting Oprah Winfrey—everyone has a bucket list. But, do you have a Georgia Tech bucket list?

There are a lot of things at Georgia Tech that students should consider trying before they graduate. You should make sure you touch the Wreck (after your first year), stay until the end of a football game and participate in the “Horse,” give Buzz a hug, and participate in a homecoming event. However, something spectacular that students often overlook is the Leadership Challenge Course (LCC). The LLC high ropes course includes a variety of elements, including several obstacle elements, a zip line, and the leap of faith. This thrilling ropes course is the perfect addition to anyone’s Georgia Tech bucket list.

Normally students can only access the LLC through group reservations. However, the CRC has introduced Elevated Weekends as a new way to get students out on the high ropes. “Elevated weekends are a great opportunity to spend time with friend, make new ones, and learn about what we do at the Leadership Challenge Course,” said Lauren Stover, the leadership challenge course coordinator. “Many students have the opportunity to come to the LCC with a group for our traditional programs, but there is still a large number who never have the opportunity!”

Elevated Weekends are open to all students for a $15 registration fee. This fee, half the price of the standard rate, gets students access to all nine elements of the high ropes course. There are two dates for the event, October 19th from 7-11 p.m. and October 20th from 1-5 p.m. Since the October 19th program occurs at night time, it will be “glow ropes.” Although it features the same obstacles, this program features glow sticks, bracelets, and necklaces to help illuminate the course!

If you’re interested in trying something new, you should sign up for Elevated Weekends! The registration deadline is October 18th. There is limited space available— sign up at https://mycrc.gatech.edu. Come out to have a great time and cross something off your bucket list. We hope to see you there!
