Stamps Health Services (SHS) will be offering flu shots at no charge to all Georgia Tech students who have paid their health fee throughout the fall semester. The flu shot is the best way to avoid contracting the flu, stay healthy and in class all year long. The flu shot is recommended for everyone over the age of 6 months old every year. SHS Senior Director, Dr. Holton said, “Flu shots are our best protection from getting sick with the flu. The flu Vaccination can reduce the risk of getting the flu, reduce the severity of the flu, and reduce the risk of getting hospitalized for the flu.” This flu season stay in class and reduce the spread of the virus by attending one of the following clinic dates:
10/2: Stamps Health Services 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
10/16: Stamps Health Services 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
10/23: Stamps Health Services 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
11/5: Student Center Piedmont Room 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
11/13: Stamps Health Services 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
11/27: Stamps Health Services 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
1/30: Stamps Health Services 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
2/7: Stamps Health Services 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
No appointment is necessary to get a flu shot at the Flu Clinic, but come early to beat the line. Your BuzzCard is required when checking in for the flu shots. If you are unable to attend the flu clinic there are other ways for you to get vaccinated. Students can make an online appointment in the allergy and immunization clinic at health.gatech.edu/appointments. You can also request a flu shot during any of your visits at Stamps Health Services.
