Numerous faculty and staff from the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts have been recognized by the Georgia Institute of Technology’s Institute Diversity as Faces of Inclusive Excellence.
Qi Wang, associate professor in the School of Literature, Media, and Communication; Mary Frank Fox, ADVANCE professor in the School of Public Policy; Leslie Ross, undergraduate academic advisor in the School of Public Policy; and Fariah Majmundar, administrative manager at the School of Modern Languages are all featured in the 2018 Faces of Inclusive Excellence publication.
Institute Diversity created Faces of Inclusive Excellence to recognize campus community members who have distinguished themselves in their research, teaching, and/or service by receiving special awards or recognition during the past academic year. The theme for this year’s Faces of Inclusive Excellence is “Building Inclusive Communities: The Path Forward – Together,” which explores both the progress made and the challenges that remain in the interrelated areas of academics, health and well-being, and student and community life.
The four Ivan Allen College faculty and staff were included for not only achieving excellence in their fields, but for helping to make Georgia Tech a more inclusive and welcoming campus. The Schools of Public Policy; Literature, Media, and Communication; and Modern Languages are units of the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts.
