There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. FEMA and the FCC will partner for a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA). The WEA portion of the test commences at 2:18 p.m. EDT, and the EAS portion follows at 2:20 p.m. EDT.

The test will assess the operational readiness of the infrastructure for distribution of a national message and determine whether improvements are needed.
