(PARK)ing Day is an annual event in which people around the world repurpose on-street parking spaces usually reserved for cars into temporary mini parks and other spaces for people, like seating areas, game areas, public art displays, and more. The event encourages people to rethink how we use public space and demonstrates how vibrant and active our streets can be The Student Planning Association (SPA), GT Women in Transportation Seminar (WTS), and Sandbox ATL are leading (PARK)ing Day 2018 at Tech Square. We are partnering with outside organizations to transform 15 parking spaces and the Tech Square Plaza.
