The first group of Georgia Tech Clark Scholars arrived on campus this summer. After two weeks of intensive learning and bonding, they have quickly assimilated and are ready to begin their journey at Tech.
The Georgia Tech Clark Scholars Program is a signature academic program that combines engineering, business, leadership and community service. Students selected for the Clark Scholars Program receive a four-year scholarship, fully based on financial need. In March 2018, the College of Engineering was given a $15 million endowment from the Clark Foundation to create a Clark Scholars Program. Ten students per year will be selected as Clark Scholars based on their financial need, academic accomplishments, engagement in engineering and leadership skills.
By fall 2021, the Clark Scholars Program is expected to have 40 students enrolled. Throughout their four years in the program, the Clark Scholars will pursue a rigorous engineering education, enroll in business classes, participate in intensive summer programs, and work on semester-long community service projects.
