First-year students are invited to cast their votes this week for representation in the Student Government Association (SGA)’s Undergraduate House of Representatives (UHR).

Four students will ultimately be elected to represent the new class this year, and 10 students are running. First-year students can select up to four candidates when voting. More information about the candidates is available here.

Elections are now open at elections.gatech.edu and will close Thursday, Sept. 13, at 6 p.m.

On the judicial side, the Undergraduate Judiciary Cabinet is accepting applications for justices, who have a role in upholding student integrity by hearing cases involving violations of the student code of conduct. Applicants should have completed two semesters as a full-time student at an accredited university, be in good standing with Georgia Tech, and be able to serve for a minimum of two consecutive semesters (excluding internship/co-op semesters). Applications close Sunday, Sept. 23. Apply at https://tinyurl.com/GTUJC.

Finally, students are also invited to join Ramblin’ Reps, a student advocacy group within SGA with the defined purposes of involving Georgia Tech students in the political process of the State of Georgia and advocating for and Institute initiatives at the state level. Member responsibilities include visiting the Capitol to meet with Georgia legislators, attending UHR meetings for discussions of resolutions, and creating a report to be delivered to UHR and the Graduate Student Senate following the 2019 legislative session. The External Affairs Board is seeking between five and eight students to serve in this group, and applications close Sept. 21. Apply online via Orgsync.
