Midtown Road Closures Anticipated This Weekend

There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. With Georgia Tech Family Weekend and the inaugural Midtown Festival of the Arts scheduled for September 25-26, the Georgia Tech community is advised to note the following road closures:

  • All lanes of Peachtree Street between 5th Street and 10th Street in Midtown will be closed to vehicle traffic starting at 8 p.m. Friday, September 24, through 8 p.m. on Sunday, September 26. 
  • Portions of 6th Street, 7th Street, 8th Street and Peachtree Place will be closed near the points where they intersect with Peachtree Street. This is a 48-hour road closure to accommodate the Festival’s main site set-up, operation and tear down.
