Summary Sentence: In this workshop, graduate students will examine the rhetorical uses of images.

Full Summary: In this workshop, graduate students will examine the rhetorical uses of images.

In  this workshop, we will examine the rhetorical uses of images, focusing on the process of interpreting images, the social connotations of images, the incorporation of images into design, and the balance between images and text in visual-based projects. There will be a question and answer segment following the presentation. As a result of attending this workshop you will better understand the impact that visuals have on interpretation and the complications associated with incorporating visuals into projects.

This workshop is directed towards graduate students. Postdocs are welcome as walk-ins as space allows.
