Given our advances in science and technology, it’s easy to believe that poverty will soon be a thing of the past. Yet we have seen that while we can overcome poverty with the help of science and technology, we can also be seduced into overlooking the reality of poverty in our scientifically and technologically advanced age.

At this week's IPaT Thursday Think Tank we will discuss hidden poverty that’s right here on campus and explore ways to address that poverty, including Georgia Tech's Students' Temporary Assistance and Resources (STaR) program, which facilitates collaboration between organizations offering student support for food, finances, clothing, housing, and connections.
