Abstract of Talk:     

This talk will review the current services provided by the Center for Career Discovery & Development, how students can take advantage of the resources that will help them in their career development process at Georgia Tech. In addition the session will include a discussion on new recruiting trends and Q & A on preparing for “recruiting season.”

Biographical Sketch of the Speaker:

With more than 16 years of experience in the career services profession, Andrea Comsa is currently the Director of Career Education in the Center for Career Discovery and Development at Georgia Tech.  Andrea oversees career education and career services; experiential education (the co-op and internship programs); data and technology that inform, support, and promote career development; and campus outreach. In addition, she delivers regular and special events programming on career-related topics. She is also the Lead for the Ivan Allen College Career Community.
 
In her other roles, Andrea has served as the Director of Outreach and Assessment, Interim Director of Career Services, Associate Director of Employer Relations, Co-Chair of the SHRM Atlanta. - Central GEM Chapter (2009-2011) as well as Chair of the College-to-Career Fair consortium for the Georgia Association of Colleges and Employers. (2009-2010).

Andrea is certified as a PHR (Professional Human Resources) and holds an MBA, MSA in Management, and BBA in Human Resources from Georgia Southwestern State University (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site..
