Fleet Services Earns Sustainable Fleet Accreditation

Georgia Tech Facilities Management Fleet Services has achieved Sustainable Fleet Accreditation from the National Association of Fleet Administrators (NAFA). NAFA awards accreditation based on improving air quality through:

  • Emission reduction
  • Increasing fuel efficiency
  • Reducing fuel usage

Georgia Tech achieved Tier 2 Status and has pledged to coninue to make strides to advance to the highest level of accreditation, Tier 4.

Georgia Tech Fleet Services is responsible for all motor vehicles either owned, rented, leased, donated or otherwise under the possession and control of the Georgia Institute of Technology. Not only tasked with offering safe, dependable, cost-efficient vehicles and equipment to the campus, Fleet Services also strives to implement sustainable practices wherever possible. Along with Sustainable Fleet accreditation, the unit has “gone paperless” introducing an iPad kiosk where work orders can be submitted electronically, as well as providing an option to submit requests online.
