This panel discussion will focus on the experiences of LGBTQIA people who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. They'll explain what Deaf culture is - and what is specific about Queer Deaf culture, share their stories of building and navigating spaces for queer Deaf people, and provide insight into how LGBTQIA spaces can be more inclusive of people who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Our panelists will also share how the queer Deaf community has developed language to keep up with emerging and shifting identities and concepts in the LGBTQIA community.
