Architectural Record’s fifth annual Women in Architecture awards recognized five recipients for their 2018 awards. Ellen Dunham-Jones, professor and director of the Master of Science in Urban Design program, was selected as one of the 2018 winners of the Architectural Record's Women in Architecture awards. Dunham-Jones, a leading urbanist and authority on sustainable suburban redevelopment, was awarded for her visibility and contributions to women in field design. Dunham-Jones is the co-author of Retrofitting Suburbia: Urban Design Solutions for Redesigning Suburbs, and in 2017, Dunham-Jones was ranked among Planetizen’s Top 100 Most Influential Urbanists (of all time).
