There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

Title: Uncooperative Radio Frequency Localization usign Space-based Receivers
Committee:
Dr. Durgin, Advisor
Dr. Steffes, Chair
Dr. Holzinger
Abstract:
The object of the proposed research is to develop a passive and uncooperative satellite-based radio frequency localization platform that can be used to find the position of a transmitter that is located either on the earth or in orbit. To this end, time difference of arrival, frequency difference of arrival, and direction of arrival methods will be used. The research will include a thorough error analysis, and an investigation of the use of employing admissible regions to solve the space-to-space localization problem.
