There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. This course is designed around the latest CPR guidelines from the American Heart Association. It provide participants with the vital information needed to recognize an emergency, activate emergency response, and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children, and infants. The use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is introduced as a vital component of the lifesaving intervention mission.
This class involves performing CPR on mannequins in a class room setting. It requires participants to kneel on the floor over the mannequin while performing chest compressions and giving breaths. Please wear clothing appropriate for this kind of physical activity.
Upon completion of the course participants will receive a 2 years certification card from the American Heart Association.
