Who’s Invited?: Any 2nd year student who wants to learn how to set themselves apart when searching for the right internship, co-op or work abroad position

What: This workshop will feature two guest speakers who will offer advice on professional communication skills, personal branding, cover letters, and how to set yourself apart in the application and interview process. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to learn how to make the most of your 2nd year as a time to launch your co-op or internship job search. Bring your questions as there will be plenty of time for Q&A.

Food?: Yes! There will be pizza and soft drinks.

Guest Speakers:
Ben Reed: With a degree in Management from Georgia Tech and an MBA from Georgia State, Ben directs client projects, builds brand strategies, creates marketing communications plans, and develops strategic client and partner relationships at West Reed, an Atlanta-based branding and marketing communications firm. He is also the co-founder of Lingo Training, a new initiative to help business people improve their written communication. Ben serves on the board of the Georgia Tech Business Network and Technology Association of Georgia’s International Business Society. 

Joel Edwards: Joel has worked for Kimberly Clark for 18 years in manufacturing and R&D positions. He is currently the Director of Capital projects and Business Support for Kimberly Clark’s Global Nonwovens division. He received a degree in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Tech in 1992.
