An 80,000-word thesis typically takes nine hours to present. Could you present yours in three minutes?
Since 2015, Georgia Tech's Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition has helped graduate students hone their communication skills by challenging them to share their research in three minutes in a way anyone could understand.
This workshop, conducted by David Lawrence, associate director of the Center for Teaching and Learning, will focus on the basics of creating a presentation for the competition preliminaries.
This is the first of four workshops that will be offered in September and early October to help graduate students develop their Three Minute Thesis presentations. (The preliminaries will be held in October, and the final round will occur in November.)
