Dr. Steven P. French, dean and John Portman Chair in the College of Design at Georgia Tech announced on May 31, 2018, that Dr. Subhrajit Guhathakurta has been named the new chair in the School of City and Regional Planning.

Dr. Guhathakurta will help a new generation of planners address complex urban problems through deep knowledge of, "the socioeconomic context of planning, together with a wide range of locally and globally applied technical and communicative skills."
