Full Summary: SIXTH ANNUAL LATINO WELCOME WEEKEND         Friday, August 27, 2010       5:00 - 7:30 pm: Game Night and Cookout. Bingo, dominoes, raffles, Frisbees, contests, music, food, etc.  Saturday, August 28, 2010 4:00 – 7:30 pm:  Pool Party.  Sponsoring corporations and Hispanic student organizations fair, food, music, dancers, raffles, piñatas, and lots of fun!!  The Office of Hispanic Initiatives at Georgia Tech invites you to join an exceptional gathering of Hispanic/Latino students, faculty, and staff at the Institute’s Sixth Annual Latino Welcome Weekend.  The Latino Welcome Weekend provides incoming and current Hispanic/Latino students, as well as students of other ethnicities, an opportunity to experience the Hispanic atmosphere at Georgia Tech and to become familiar with the opportunities offered to them. Ultimately, we want every student who attends to feel welcome to the Georgia Tech community. Over 400 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students, as well as some faculty and staff representing a variety of academic disciplines are active participants at this exciting event. They embody a diverse group of individuals from cultures and countries around the world. This event is by invitation only. More details will be provided via email.
