The School of History and Sociology welcomes Dr. Sven Beckert, Laird Bell Professor of History at Harvard University. Dr. Beckert will give a talk on "Empire of Cotton: The Global Origins of Modern Capitalism." The talk is from 4:00 - 5:30 in the Student Success Center, President's Suite C&D.  All are welcome.
