While Commencement weekend always comes with some traffic congestion, this semester, it could be compounded by other events happening during the weekend.
In addition to having visitors on campus for Commencement ceremonies Friday and Saturday, Georgia Tech Baseball is also hosting a series with Radford University on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Meanwhile, less than two miles east at Central Park, thousands of music fans will converge for the Shaky Knees Music Festival, which begins Friday and goes through Sunday. The popular event is likely to bring in visitors from around the metro area and the Southeast.
For those planning to attend Saturday events, give yourself extra time to exit the interstate, traverse campus, and navigate surrounding streets. Watch for pedestrians, graduates, and others who may be less familiar with the area.
For Commencement parking information, visit the Georgia Tech Commencement site. Parking for baseball will be available in the Klaus Parking Deck.
