Parihar Receives Chih Foundation Award

Abhinav Parihar, a fifth year Ph.D. student in the Georgia Tech School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), has received the Chih Foundation Graduate Research Award.

Parihar works in the Integrated Circuits and Systems Research Lab and is advised by ECE Associate Professor and ON Semiconductor Junior Professor Arijit Raychowdhury. Parihar received his B.Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India before joining Georgia Tech. He has always been interested in studying natural physical phenomena, and the dynamics of the brain.

Parihar’s current research encompasses realization and analysis of continuous time dynamical systems and their computing capabilities. He has shown the different ways that coupled oscillatory networks can compute – from solving convex problems to a recent demonstration of graph-coloring, a quintessential combinatorial optimization problem. Parihar has published 19 refereed articles and has received more than 200 citations for his work over the last four years.
