There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Canvas Training by Instructor on April 17th.
Who should attend? Georgia Tech Faculty, Staff and TA's that have questions about building courses in the Canvas Learning Management System.
Seating is limited Register for sessions at the Canvas @ Georgia Tech website.
Session 1 (9 a.m. - 11 a.m.) - Canvas 101
This session is intended for those faculty who want to learn the basics of Canvas, and who would like to begin to build a course in Canvas. We will highlight not only how to build it, but also share best practices for use in courses.
Session 2 (11 a.m. - 12 p.m.) - Assignments and Grading
Participants will learn how to use all of the features of the Canvas Assignment tool, and how to leverage the grading and grade book tools within the Canvas environment.
Session 3 (1 p.m. - 2 p.m.) - Quizzes and Question Banks
This session is intended for those faculty who want to learn how to use the Quizzing tool in Canvas for homework, assessment, quizzes, and/or tests.
Session 4 (2 p.m. - 4 p.m.) - Canvas 101
This session is intended for those faculty who want to learn the basics of Canvas, and who would like to begin to build a course in Canvas. We will highlight not only how to build it, but also share best practices for use in courses.
