Join the Center for International Strategy, Technology, and Policy for a presentation and discussion with Dr. Phil Williams, Professor and Wesley W. Posvar Chair in International Security Studies, and Director of the Matthew B. Ridgway Center for International Security Studies at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Williams will discuss the methods in which criminal and extremist organizations infiltrate and exploit the energy sector.  It will explore how this process has manifested itself in Russia, Nigeria, Iraq and Syria, and put the issue into comparative perspective with a discussion on how in some countries, organized crime has diversified into the exploitation of natural resources and even into clean energy.

The event is free and open to the public.
