GA PeachThe Georgia County Internship Program (GCIP) offers first-hand internship experiences to undergraduate and graduate level college students and recent graduates in county government. Each summer, internships are offered across a broad spectrum of academic disciplines in county government offices throughout the state. For the 2018 Summer Program, GCIP has 40 paid internship opportunities in 31 counties. From planning and zoning and GIS projects to communications, health, and finance positions, there are numerous options for students to enhance the skills they have learned in college while gaining new skills through experiential learning. Since the program was created in 2010, over 350 students have participated in internships in 68 counties across Georgia.

A description of each position including qualifications and how to apply are included with each posting. Students who have previously participated in the program have not only gained new job skills, but several have also received job offers as a result of their internship.
